Friday Sillyness

Tonight I was going to write a long post, another rant diatribe well-thought-out-missive on something else in my life that’s bugging me right now.

Then I thought about it a little and realized that most of my readers will be seeing this post on Friday. And, seriously, who wants to read that kind of drivel on a Friday?

I’ll tell you who: pretty much no one. I mean, sheesh, it’s ‘freakin Friday, after all.

So instead, some silly videos I was reminded of a couple of weeks ago:

The best part, of course, is that I can go to sleep tonight safe and secure in the knowledge that at least a small number of people in the world will be spending their Friday humming “Istanbul was Constantinople; Now it’s Istanbul, not Constantinople; Been a long time gone, Constantinople; Now it’s a Turkish delight on a moonlit night…”

You’re welcome.

  1. Yea! That actually made my Friday morning! I will gladly sing those all day long!

  2. It’s too early for cheer.

  3. I’ve already got that song in my iPod. Nice try, though. 😉

  4. Nice way to wake up. They are catchy tunes but they don’t stick as well as the themes to Gilligan’s Island or I Dream Of Genie.

Nothing like some Plucky Duck to take you back to the early ’90s

  5. lea – happy to have made your day. 😉

just a girl – awww *hug*

Aaron – Thanks, I’ll try harder next time.

Homer-Dog – Heh, nothing beats a sitcom diddy. But, ahhh, those early 90’s memories…

  6. Ahh, I’m reading this on a Saturday but have to say- it made my day just the same. Thanks for passing these along…

  7. brandy – glad to help. 🙂
