Olfactory Temptation

Getting up early in the morning on a weekend to wash the truck is bad enough. Doing the job single-handedly is a time consuming exercise that, with all the washing and towel-drying, actually resembles, well, exercise.

But the fact that my local car-wash is located behind a donut shop cooking up the first, warm, fresh, delicious-smelling, drool-inducing batch of the day as I’m doing it?

Well, that’s just a sick form of sugary torture.

  1. And you resisted the temptation? I think a donut (or two) would’ve been the perfect fuel for your car-washing calorie burn!

  2. So unkind of them.

  3. did you resist??? Did you hold back? I can’t…I’m not resilient enough. 😦

  4. Whatev.

You washed your truck and satisfied your animal instincts with a donut, didn’t you?

  5. Mmm….donuts. That’s what I’ll be thinking about from now till dinner!

  6. Mel Heth has been telling me to check out your blog for a while now… I finally made it, expecting tales of the weekend warrior, but am rather amused to hear of donuts and trucks… I’m going to have to agree on the cruel factor. Luckily, tearing myself out of bed early in the morning to wash my car has never been my strong point, so avoiding that particular temptation is easy.

  7. Mel Heth – Actually yes. Sadly, I’d already had breakfast!

Just A Girl – I really must speak to the city zoning commission

cripkitty – I did, but next time I may not…

    Aaron – Nope!

SingleFabulous – Heh, sorry ’bout that.

Aly – Welcome to the site! LOL – welcome to the world of my messed up knee! It wasn’t that early, believe me. I’m not a morning person unless I have to be… or I’m camping!

  8. Why didn’t you grab a donut when you were finished? I totally would have!

After all that, you deserve a delicious sugary treat 🙂

  9. Much like driving home and smelling everyone elses barbeque going and none for yourself. Boourns.

  10. East Coast Teacher – I know, maybe next time!

Backpackermomma – Heh, now I want barbeque!
