Delayed Reaction

It’s the strangest, most unexpected thing.

Now what I’ve finished writing about the trip, gone through all the photos, found all the links, and basically journal’d a trip in a way I’ve never done before, only now does it feel like the trip is really over.

And I gotta say, it’s kind of a downer.

I dunno, maybe it just means I need to travel more…

I know what you mean. I started Homer’s Travels to document our adventures for our families. Every time I post on some adventure, I immediately start looking for our next destination. What really started it for us is our Peru trip. Since that vacation I find it difficult to sit still.

interesting. but you did have a very enviable trip and i might be a little blue too having had to return to the daily grind after a trip like that too. maybe it means you need to get crackin’ on your travel plans to DC!!!!

oh! and I thought of a way you can make it as a travel writer — you take all your own photos! how likely is it that there’s another independent and creative traveler out there who is BOTH a readable writer and talented photographer? huh? huh? 😀

Homer-Dog – Yeah, I’m starting to think of travel as a drug: the more you do it, the more you want. Then again, as addictions go, it’s not so bad.

charlotte – Maybe. What’s the best time of year to visit DC? 🙂

Hmmm, food for thought, for sure…

Travel? A drug? Say it isn’t so!!!

Life is too short not to do all the things you want to do. Start planning your next trip–it will give you something to look forward to!

just a girl – well, yeah, but it’s one of the best kinds

quirkygirl – true; too bad some of the things I want to do are so expensive! LOL

You just have to know where to look (or be ready to pick up and go at the last minute). Last-minute deals rock!

quirkygirl – well, feel free to send me links. Sadly, my job is not often conducive to last-minute travel. Plus, gotta find more travel buddy(ies)!

Where do you want to go?

quirkygirl – Oh, so many places. Europe, New Zealand, hike the Dolmites (sp?), Drive Route 66… the list is endless!
