(Had a long post planned, but the neighbors were screaming at each other till 2 am and I’m running on four hours sleep. So here’s… this.)
Every “For Dummies” book I’ve ever seen has generally fit into two categories: explaining a difficult topic or improving the skill of the book’s subject. Every. Single. One.*
Want to learn about wine? Get “Wine for Dummies.” Want to learn how to use Microsoft Word? Get “Word for Dummies.”
Randomly wandering around the bookstore today I saw… wait for it… “Depression for Dummies.”
So. Is it a guide on what depression is (“I think I’m depressed, but I’m not sure, better get a Dummies book”)? Or a guide on how to be depressed more successfully (“I’m depressed, but I really think I could be doing it better”)?
Hmmmmmmmm……
*Okay, there might be exceptions, but this is my experience.
Ha!

Sometimes I think I could write Depression for Smarties. Then I get over it. Heh.

Depression for Dummies!
I saw that book a few weeks ago and thought that exact thing. What, are you looking to become better at it? 😛
