Just got back tonight from the first official backpack of the season.
Every part of my body is sore. But it’s all good.
Hopefully I’ll post more about the trip in a few days, but it’s late and I’m about to crawl into my nice mattress-and-box-springs bed (slightly more comfy than a Therm-A-Rest), so I will leave you with this:
Sunrise along the West Fork of the San Gabriel River
This is the other side of Southern California, the West Fork of the San Gabriel River at sunrise this morning. Only a few miles, but a world way away, from several million people.
How cool is that?
Awesome.

Beautiful pic!! If you decide to sell your pics, let me know, I’d really like to buy some of them.
No matter where you go or where you sleep, it always feels so wonderful to climb into your own bed! Glad you are back safe, sound and sore.

Just a Girl – Yep 🙂
dobegil – I’ll give it some thought. Yep, and no matter how good the therm-a-rest, a bed is better!

Great photo! It is amazing that nature can flourish so close to LA.

I rode my bike up there from Pasadena last weekend and was stunned by how beautiful it is! I forgot for a couple of hours that I was in this massive metropolis.
