Yeah, I know.
I’ve been totally phoning it in lately. Heck, I’ve even fallen back on the old stalwart of YouTube posts.
Fact is, nothing seems all that interesting to write about of late.
I get up, I go to work, I come home, I putz around the house. That’s pretty much my life right now.
About the most exciting thing of late was going to the Fair last weekend. It was okay… I don’t think it was ever going to be great because, of course, what I’d hoped it was going to be didn’t come to pass. In comparison, could anything else have been anything but less-than-exciting?
I spent most of the day there solo, with an acquaintance and her friends showing up later in the evening. ‘Bout the biggest excitement of the day was having the best BBQ Tri-Tip sandwich ever.
I’m not one to overlook the little gifts in life, so that was a decided positive, but other than that, the day was definitely *shrug*
But besides that, there’s really nothing thrilling going on. No parties or trips or fun times out with friends or… or anything, really.
It’s all a bit… well, not depressing exactly, but when someone wrote me the other day and used the word “blue”, it seemed to fit perfectly.
And the really sad part? All the reasons for it are just. So. Stupid.
So much so that I don’t even want to write about it, ‘cuz you’d all cap on me for it. And rightfully so.
So stupid, in fact, that all I can come up with to write tonight is this stupid, whiny little post.
And all of which makes me feel, well, kinda stupid too.
I don’t see the point in replying to this. So… how is your knee?

Clearly your fair is not as cool as ours. Because then you’d have written about such cool things as deep-fried twinkies, and deep-fried coke….et cetera.
I think that’s the entire problem. You’re living in the wrong state. You need to move to Texas.
There. Problem solved.
*wink*

Hmm.. it sounds like your in a little bit of a rut. You should do something to shake up life a little.. take up a new hobby or think of something you always wanted to do and go for it! You never know what opportunities could present themselves. 🙂

Listen, you need something. I don’t know what but something. I’m officially extending an open invitation for you to come visit me. My life is about as meh as yours right now so we can be meh together.

Ms. H — deep friend coke? Dare I even ask?
GH, give yourself permission to feel blue. You don’t have to validate it or justify it. Just acknowledge that you are feeling that way. Then get off your ass and do something about it! Oh wait, did I say that last part out loud?

I say get in the car and go visit your favorite bloggers in the country. Texas, East Coast…there is sure to be hilarity that will ensue.

I hate that feeling… I start to have anxiety and it snowballs into worrying about every little thing… I get so down about it and in such a funk… In the end I feel stupid for being so ‘up in my head’. Only working out or gaming seems to fix it.

Oohh! That’s a great idea! A bloggy road trip! Start by picking up Mel Heth and everyone between California and Texas where you will pick up Coco. Then, pick up a few more on your way to NYC. We’ll par-tay!! Do it! Do it! I’m only half-kidding.

Sounds like you have a roadtrip brewing. If you pass through Omaha, drop me a line.

A blogger road trip would rule. Tell you what, if I get laid off from my job, I’ll rent the RV for it.
I have to agree with Little Miss Obsessive. I think you need to make a major change and shake things up. Staying in the routine and the rut isn’t really doing much for ya.

Funny thing.. I was just thinking about you and wanted to say hey. And that I hope you have a great weekend this weekend. And HAVE FUN!!
I’m currently sitting at my parent’s house. And it’s almost midnight here. My brothers (and one’s fiance) are in town.
Go out on a hike. Go enjoy the fresh air. Read a good book so you can sit back and think that was so good it made it one awesome weekend. That could totally make one worthwhile to me.

What is a tri-tip thing?
And life can be good and still be boring.
Maybe you need to paintball and shoot someone… 😀

The sun will come out tomorrow… We all feel blue now and again. I think that is perfectly acceptable. It is even a little fun to wallow in it a little while. The trick is knowing when it is time to stop wallowing and head back into the mountains for a little sunshine.

Hey dude, you can write an entire post about a BBQ sandwich as far as I’m concerned! Did you get a picture of it?? 😉
