Respite

Just home from a much-needed relaxing weekend of car-camping in Kings Canyon.

There was hiking, talking, caving, fire lookouts, scenery galore, good food, and even a bear.

None of which I have the energy to write about tonight, so you’ll have to wait a few days for me to recover.  And do laundry.  And shave.  🙂

Aw, geez, I hear you all grumbling now.  Oh, okay, will this tide you over for a few days?

Mist Falls, both in name and what showed up on the camera lens. Sorry ’bout that, hope you can forgive.  😀

  1. I saw my first bear in Sequoia. Can’t wait to see more pictures but I will be patient. Really, I will.

  2. What a beautiful spot…..jealous.

  3. I’m green right now. It’s been 5 years since I last visited Sequoia. I can’t wait to see your pictures.

  4. Ohhhhh! I miss King’s Canyon so much! One of my favorite places on earth.

  5. Homer-Dog – Will try to work on editing pictures this weekend…

CMACC – It is beautiful, and nice to get away from the fires too!

Mel Heth – Don’t be too jealous, I hadn’t been there since I was a kid. Was pretty much in Kings Canyon the whole time, so I’ll need to go back to hit Sequoia.

Hebba – Why ever did you move away?

  6. I want pictures!!! And stories!!! 🙂 Okay, I will be patient…

  7. That’s right, just rub in our virtual faces that you live in a really cool part of the country, and have weekends(and holidays!) off, oh and actually get paid proportionate to hours worked….

one day I’ll have to post a long ode to the mighty ramen bowl :0)
