Happy Thanksgiving, Y’all!

Howdy strangers!

Just dropping out of the WWOSU (Wonderful World Of Study Hell) to say Happy Thanksgiving to everybody.

Especially all of you who keep on stopping by, eagerly awaiting the day that I’ve gotten past these silly tests and start talking about, you know, INTERESTING stuff again.

As for me, I’m just getting ready to head over to a friend’s house for Thanksgiving Dinner.  The weekend has become too nightmarish to travel to see the family (ever seen I-5 come to a complete standstill in the middle of nowhere?  Yeah, Thanksgiving 6 years ago.  ‘Nuff said.), so I will be hanging out with my other friends whose families are also out of town.

I also just realized that that previous sentence was a massive, poorly-written run on.  Geez, my writing skills have slipped.

Anyway…

Hope that all of you have a safe and fun holiday.  Who knows, maybe I’ll even post again on this holiday weekend?  Heck, going for a hike sure sounds like more fun than going to Black Friday sales to me…

Responses

  1. A Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving to you as well!!!

  2. Wow, and I thought the beltway was bad. A complete standstill?? Oy. Happy Thanksgiving, hope it was good!

  3. Meh, hate to be late for this, but hope you had a good one! Have a nice beginning of Holidays, and a great weekend and…. well, be good! (as in well, not good GOOD. Although I don’t mean to suggest you be bad because being bad is wrong. Except sometimes, if you know what I mean, and then, by all means be naughty. But in general, you know; be good.)

I miss reading you man. :o)

  4. Happy Thanksgiving GH!! I avoided Black Friday by sleeping all day. Best day ever.

  5. Vicki – Thanks! I hope you had a good one with the family as well.

Spleeness – Yep. In the middle of farm fields. Luckily, not next to the giant muddy cow farm that stinks to high heaven, that every regular traveler of the 5 knows exactly when to close the air vents on the car for…

Narami – LOL-if I had the opportunity to be bad, I’d take it. 😉 Do they do Thanksgiving in PR?

Seine – Sounds pretty much ideal.

    • 🙂 That’s what I meant. Hee. & Of course we do boy! We do basically everything they do in the states, plus our own celebrations, if that makes sense (like, we celebrate the 4th of July and… the “discovery of the island”. That one is hilarious because we are sure we were here before Columbus stumbled upon us.). Our turkey does get stuffed with something more Puerto Rican, like fried plantain and pork, but it’s turkey!

  6. Happy Thanksgiving!

  7. Happy Belated. Hope you had/have a great hike this weekend.

  8. I don’t get Black Friday. I enjoy sleep far too much to freeze my nuts off sitting in the cold waiting for something to happen…although, I realized I did just that at the NY Jets Thanksgiving Day game.

    Hmmm….

  9. Hope you enjoyed your day and your weekend! I was able to get a hike in, and it felt like a little un-sprung spring inside me popped back into its place. It’s nice when you actually enjoy the effort necessary to burn off all those pumpkin pie calories. 😛

  10. hope you had a fun and delicious thanksgiving. as for black friday, it takes a certain kind of person to want to shop on that day. i do not have that kind of stamina, energy, or desire…

  11. Miss McCracken – to you as well (belatedly).

Homer-Dog – I did. It was a trail I’ve done before, but I’m slowly working up my distances…

JENNeralizations – Ah, for sports it’s okay, then, is what you’re saying?

Mel Heth – Where did you go?

    BlakSpring – Neither do I!
