Yesterday I attended this.
Nothing screams Christmas spirit like trying to get as many of other people’s presents as you can for yourself, right?
Ugh. Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Seriously.
In the spirit of giving (and not taking), I have, so far this holiday season:
1) Bought items for a ‘support the troops’ care package
2) Purchased an item on the wish list of a less-fortunate family from my school
Because of me and the kindness of my heart, one 8-year-old boy will be all smiles on Christmas morning when he opens a gift under the tree and finds the Tom Brady jersey he wanted.
Just a ‘lil warm fuzzy to offset the bad taste in your mouth from the company gift steal 🙂

When I worked, we never exchanged gifts and such. In the 20 years I worked there I never went to the Christmas party – too much alcohol, dancing, and fancy-smancy clothes for me. I don’t regret not going either.

Ohhh…..I’m going to change the subject. I like to comment on the snowflakes on the blog! Very nice feature! 🙂

At my work party we have the option to put money towards a hamper for someone in need. I can get behind that.
My running group is having a party and we are drawing names. We are to buy a toy that reminds of of the person and then all the toys are being donated to the Christmas bureau. I’m so for this one!
And, just because I am nosy, did you get anything in the end?

You should’ve wrapped a dog turd with pretty paper and a big ol’ bow. Remind me next year, I’ll send you some.

Ms. H – It so is.
East Coast Teacher – Thanks for the nice counter balance.
Homer-Dog – Yeah, our party isn’t nearly that fun. Though, believe me, if I weren’t driving I would have certainly partaken of some of the alcohol.
DezertLamb – Yeah, WordPress is so cool.
Just A Girl – I like that option! Uh, a set of stick on LED lights (as seen on TV!) and a wooden pizza board. Pretty poor showing.
Dingo – Nice idea. Someone else proposed wrapping up two rolls of wrapping paper, which sounded good too.
Charlotte – I’m not a big fan of potluck’s either, especially given my cooking skills!
