Finally Responding
After I posted It’s Worse a week or so ago, I decided to wait a bit before responding. Just to let things in my head sort of settle a little. Then I mentally started working on a post in my head. And responses to all your thoughtful comments. And the e-mails I got. And posts I’d seen elsewhere.
Trying to get it all together has been a wee bit overwhelming.

Eerie
Eerie.
The fires are miles away from me, but it rendered the whole world a bit eerie today.
I woke up this morning to a deep orange sun in the east. Throughout the day it got a bit brighter and more yellow, but never truly the daylight you’d get on a clear day.

In Between
Sunday night I went to a group outing at a restaurant. It’s one of the online groups that I’ve done activities with before, though I hadn’t been out with them in several months.
Odd, isn’t it, how things like backpack trips and family health and falling for a girl only to have her blow you off can get in the way of things, isn’t it?
Go figure.
