Surrounded by Smoke
Originally I was going to put up Saturday’s hike tonight, and I will at some point (the post is partially written, pictures have been selected, etc.), but somehow I feel like posting about the fires again.
Can’t help it. Mother Nature on this magnitude always puts me in awe.
Driving home from work, I looked around and found LA to be nearly surrounded by smoke.

So Much for Today’s Hike
This weekend was going to be a two-fer: hikes both Saturday and Sunday. I was feeling good, the weather was supposed to be warm, it was going to be great.
Saturday’s hike came off without a hitch (post will be up tomorrow night).
Today was a completely different story.

Delayed Reaction
It’s the strangest, most unexpected thing.
Now what I’ve finished writing about the trip, gone through all the photos, found all the links, and basically journal’d a trip in a way I’ve never done before, only now does it feel like the trip is really over.
And I gotta say, it’s kind of a downer.
I dunno, maybe it just means I need to travel more…
